The B&NES Community Energy Forum is an informal meeting for community groups interested in / working on energy related projects from across Bath and North East Somerset. This forum will be an opportunity to catch up with each other’s plans and projects, find out what the Council is doing, discuss ideas, and plan for the future.
This event coincides with Community Energy Fortnight 3rd – 18th September 2016 which aims to showcase inspiring examples of communities who are generating their own renewable energy, or are helping to reduce energy usage locally. The theme of the fortnight is Powering Forward with the aim of encouraging discussion around the way forward for community energy in the face of recent policy and support changes.

6.00 – 6.15 Arrival, refreshments & networking,
6.15 – 8.00 Forum agenda:
• Showcase of projects
o Please nominate a spokesperson from your group to give an update on your current activities and plans. Please bring along any promotional materials, pictures or props you want to illustrate your activities.
• Overview of B&NES Community Energy Strategy
• Update on national community energy policy
• Discussion – what should be in an updated community energy strategy for B&NES
• New opportunities and helpful resources for community energy projects
• Discussion – how can others in the room can help your group or project
• Networking
