Event Navigation
Curo will be hosting an open exhibition of the current plans for the regeneration of the ex-MOD site at Foxhill. More information is available here. The exhibition will provide an update of the current plans for the site which have been formulated between Curo, HTA architects, existing residents of Foxhill and local groups from Combe Down. Curo aiming to apply for outline planning permission for 700 homes in October.
Transition Bath has been represented at both the design meeting and the stakeholders committee.
From a sustainability perspective the current proposals include:
- Transport: cycle and walk ways across the site. Cycle racks on buses. A consolidation and re-routing of the existing bus routes, and a Trondheim like cycle lift up Perrymead,
- Food: fruit trees, large areas of natural open space, signifcant allotment allocation near Axbridge Road
- Energy: equivalent to Code for Sustainable housing level 4 with some solar PV although no district heating – although its too early for us to comment on the details
If you are interested, please go along to the exhibition and make your views known. If you have any comments on the sustainability of the site which you would like Transition Bath to pursue, please email us: consultation@transitionbath.org.
