Transition Bath Thermal Imaging Survey and Draughtproofing at Building of Bath Collection

Transition Bath have been working with Bath Preservation Trust to reduce their heating bills at the Building of Bath Collection.

In February Bill, Jan and Jon carried out a thermal imaging survey and wrote up a report which is available here. Jill Hunter the museum administrator was already aware of most of the issues. As a result some ‘easy wins’ were identified and in May we returned to start draught-proofing a number of doors using cheap low cost draught-proofing material.

We aim to return in the Autumn to continue the work by looking at the heating system, the Collections 4 gas boilers and thermostatic controls.
