DESCRIPTION:During weekend of November 4th and 5th Green Open Homes B&NES 18 homes will be open to the public in Bath and further 6 homes in the Chew Valley.  The homes will showcase a wide range of measures applied to Georgian listed\, Victorian\, modern and art deco homes\, illustrating how you can make your home more sustainable\, the measures include: \n\n\n\n\ndraughtproofing\nsecondary glazing\ndouble glazing\n\n\ntriple glazing\nmechanical ventilation and heat recovery\n6 different types of internal wall insulation\n\n\nheat pumps\nsolar PV\nsolar thermal\n\n\nsolar batteries\nunderfloor insulation\nbehaviour change\n\n\nefficient hot water cylinders\nvacuum glazing\npassive solar gain\n\n\n\n\nYou can have a good look at the technology\, ask the home owners about the installation \, discuss options without talking to salespersons and find out much they’re really saving on their energy bills as a result. \nThe weekend is a partnership between BWCE\, B&NES Buro Happold\, Bath Preservation Trust\, and Transition Bath.
