Learn different preservation techniques while making beautiful jars of food ready to enjoy at Christmas:
preserved lemons (salting/using brine)
sauerkraut (fermentation)
satsumas (bottling)
pears (pickling).
We will be demonstrating all four of these recipes to illustrate the different preserving methods. You will be making two of these recipes yourself in jars to take home with you. You will also take home a recipe card for all of the recipes so you can try them at home.
Joining instructions including a full list of simple ingredients and the equipment required will be sent to you on sign-up.
We are asking for a donation of £15 to attend this 3-hour workshop. We do not want to exclude anyone from attending based on cost, so please change the donation amount if you are unable to pay the full price.
