From 18th September to 29th October, Luke Jerram’s ‘Gaia’ – a huge Earth – will be presented at Bath Abbey. The Abbey will use this awe-inspiring exhibit to promote B&NES eco-groups. Transition Bath will have a presence in the Abbey throughout the exhibiting period.
On 30th September, from 10:00 to 17:00, a showcase of local eco-groups will come together for Extraordinary Earth Day. Entrance is free for BA1 and BA2 residents with proof of address and Discovery Card holders.
There will be a series of inspirational talks during the day:
10:30 – Climate Challenges
11:30 – Neighbourhood Eco Groups
13:30 – Young People’s Voice
14:30 – Knowing Your Carbon Footprint
15:30 – The Conservation Challenge
This is in the spirit of Ecooperation; organised by the Abbey, CAFÉ B&NES, Transition Bath and Bath & West Community Energy with support from B&NES Council Climate Team. Come to hear how you can get involved.
