The Young Green Creators, a group of young people with an aim to make accessible and inclusive climate-based events for young people across Bath, is holding a weekend of activities from 15-17 March.
Taking place primarily at Studio 22 in New Bond Street in Bath, the event, sponsored by House of Imagination, will offer a range of activities from democratic and scientific education to more relaxed and creative activities, all aimed at young people aged 16–25 years.
“We noticed a niche in the climate justice movement in Bath that we wanted to fill – a lack of accessibility for young people in the climate movement,” said Gracie Allen, one of the team behind the Young Green Creators. “We are filled with the powerful enthusiasm to make change, but we feel that we don’t have the resources or the spaces for this zeal to go anywhere – a feeling that can lead to worsening climate anxiety.
“We wanted to combat this with an event specifically built with education, fun and accessibility for young people in mind, informed by their opinions from our focus groups and our own experiences.”
