Nick Abercrombie is a retired university teacher who moved to Bath in 2004. As deputy vice-chancellor at Lancaster University, he was responsible for the academic development of the institution. In his career, and since retirement, he has been involved as a trustee or director in a variety of public, not-for-profit and commercial organizations. Many of these involvements were about action at local level and the relationship between social science research and policy change. He looked for a means of bringing this experience to local projects that bear on the most important problem of our time – climate change. And found Transition Bath where he has been a trustee since December 2021.
