The Climate Hub BANES’s Veganuary event was a delightful showcase of the benefits and enjoyment of a plant-based lifestyle. Engaging activities for all ages made the day both informative and enjoyable.
A standout feature was the live cooking demonstration by Cally from Nutshell Nutrition, which was as educational as it was entertaining. Attendees got hands-on, helping to prepare a variety of vegan dishes. Everyone had the chance to taste the results – delicious as well as healthy and sustainable – adding an interactive and fun element to learning new cooking skills.
The smoothie bike added a unique twist, combining exercise with nutrition. Participants enjoyed pedalling their way to creating their own fresh smoothies, proving that healthy eating can be both fun and rewarding.
The event also highlighted local and seasonal produce, provided tasty vegan snacks, and offered creative children’s activities like making bird feeders, underlining the importance of sustainability and engaging with nature.
The Veganuary celebration at the Climate Hub was a fantastic blend of fun, food education and community involvement, inspiring the community to embrace more sustainable eating habits.
